Urgent - Carols For Cymru Cancelled!
With deep regret, due to the extreme adverse weather conditions across Wales, Making Music Wales and Ty Cerdd have been forced to take the decision to cancel tomorrow evening's Carols For Cymru event at the Wales Millennium Centre.
Both organisations would like to offer their sincere thanks to all those bands and individual musicians and singers who signed up to the event, but following advice from external agencies, cancellation of the event was unfortunately unavoidable.
Meetings will now be held early in the New Year to discuss a possible replacement for the event in the Spring of 2011, meanwhile further information on the activities of both Ty Cerdd and Making Music Wales, including full contact information for both organisations, can be found at their respective websites www.makingmusicwales.org.uk and www.tycerdd.org
Sincere apologies but a very Merry Christmas to all - ymddiheuriadau ond Nadolig Llawen i bawb.

Making Music Annual Conference
The Making Music 75th birthday conference was recently held on Saturday September 11th at one of Britain's leading concert halls and recording studios, St George's Church, Bristol
Running from 11am, the conference saw the launch of our new organisational plan and new website, with the day as a whole focusing on all things digital; from demystifying social media to online marketing and selling tickets, all aimed at encouraging our members to get the most out of digital tools and resources to develop the ways in which they communicate with audiences and each other and raise the profile of what they do.
A very successful vocal workshop featuring our prize-winning 75th birthday song, and a networking session for concert promoters was also held. We also celebrated our birthday and the start of the 50th anniversary season of the Award for Young Concert Artists with a drinks reception, gala concert featuring alumni from the scheme, and a buffet supper, and we hope all who were able to join us enjoyed what was a full but incredible day!
Further information on the conference can be found at www.makingmusic.org.uk
